Matthew Palmer
Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015, before going on to undertake a Master’s Degree in Aquatic Veterinary Science. This was fuelled by my passion for learning and to continuously challenge myself, an attribute that I bring to my position at Willett House. As a local to the area I was fortunate enough to get to know our team, clients and their patients whilst seeing practice here throughout my veterinary degree. Having then completed my Masters’ and gained some experience working as a veterinarian in the commercial fish production industry I was then thrilled to be offered a position as a Veterinary Surgeon at the start of 2017. I am based at both the Hampton and Staines branches, where I look forward to getting to working alongside the Willett House team and our clients to ensure their pets’ health is always paramount.

At home I am kept on my toes by our two Border Terriers, Oscar and Millie, as well as keeping a number of freshwater fish including common goldfish and a number of species of carp.

Continued Professional development:

As a member of the Fish Vet Society I hope to continue to further my aquatic pet knowledge to provide high quality veterinary care all our clients pets, big or small, furry or scaled. As a vital and vulnerable part of the body I also hope to further my ophthalmic (eyes) knowledge with further courses later in the year
