Lucy Steptoe

Client Care Assistant

I have always loved and worked with animals. All my previous training was animal related and I trained up to Foundation degree level in Animal Behaviour and Welfare.I joined Willett House as a casual floating member of the Client Care Team at the beginning of 2015 it followed a few different jobs previously within the animal care and veterinary industries, where I hadn’t found what I was looking for.I came into Willett House and realised this is where I wanted to settle for quite a while with the high standards, lovely colleagues and clients.Starting as a floater I was able to quickly get to know everyone at all the different practices before settling into a regular Stanwell position.I still work at Stanwell to date and the Staines branch on certain weekends.I work part time now as I have just returned to work after the end of my maternity leave.

I currently live with my Nan, as her carer and my very funny and sweet, but often high maintenance, daughter Lily, as well as my Nan’s Sheltie in Middlesex and we are all set to be moving to Ashford within the next couple of months. We are moving in with my parents and the cats so that will be interesting, but I work in the right place to get top advice as how to manage the stress levels of all the animals whilst they adjust to their new home.Best experiences to date, apart from having Lily of course, have been my previous travels to Canada,America,Italy and South Africa where I went on Safari and a parachute jump here in England, which I did in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

I haven’t done a lot of CPD recently but now I am back at work, after maternity leave,I will be throwing myself back into the undertaking said CPD courses to further myself and my career.
