Annie Galer
Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Bristol University in 2008, where I undertook a final year elective in First Opinion Small Animal Practice. I initially spent a year working in a small animal practice in Somerset, where I gained a great first year’s experience, whilst enjoying the delights of the local countryside and coastline. In 2009, I made the move back closer to home and have been at Willett House ever since. I split my time between the Feltham and Staines branches and enjoy the job satisfaction that comes with getting to know clients and their pets over the years.

I am a rarity in the veterinary world, in that I don’t actually have any pets. I would dearly love to have a dog of my own and hope to one day, but for now have a great setup of borrowing various colleagues’ dogs, including Mr Clarke’s mischievous twosome, Maggie & Albert!

Continued Professional Development:

In line with the RCVS requirements, I regularly partake in continued profession development courses, which keep my knowledge up to date, choosing topics that are both interesting on a personal level & also of benefit to clients’ pets. Subject areas that I have covered recently include:

• Endoscopy

• Echocardiography & cardiology

• Abdominal ultrasonography

• Internal medicine

• Soft tissue surgery
